Who will greet you in Rasdhoo
A team of experienced dive professionals and friendly instructors.
Our Dhoni
We have the best diving boat in the whole of Rasdhoo! She is called Thahiyya-1 but we just refer to her as “Dhoni” (the Maldivian name for this type of boat). She is a fiberglass boat built in 2019 with a holding capacity of 35 passengers including staff.
Spacious and comfortable, our Dhoni has two levels: the lower deck where you will prepare yourself for the dive, and the upper deck which is a great place to soak up the sun.
The Dhoni also has a toilet and a freshwater shower, as well as a dry area to leave your personal belongings.
Our captain and the rest of the crew are very professional and experienced in diving operations.
Dani García
Our super-motivated Spanish instructor is ready for another season in the Maldives. He is the ideal guide both above and below the water, as he knows the Maldivian culture well, and how to get to know the local people and fit in with their customs. He is a scuba fanatic and his passion for training excellent divers stands out among his great virtues. His motto is «always find room for improvement». With Dani, you will enjoy dives that are professional, safe and above all fun. Dani speaks English and Spanish.
Diego Salgado
Dieguito has the character and charisma to love him at first sight. Difficult to find a better instructor than him to guide you diving around Rasdhoo channels, he knows where to find the pelagics and also always up for adventures. Whether they are deep dives, night dives, drift dives, the feedback we have received from anyone diving with Diego has been always very possitive. He speaks Spanish and English fluently.
Clyde Vella
Clyde also known as Master, will be in paradise from Novemeber to combine 2 of his favourite hobbies: travelling and scuba diving. He is a very entertaining person and also very professional at work. He will make sure that every diver diving with him, reaches the surface with the biggest possible smile.
Gonzalo Huerta
Gonzalo, mostly known as Lalo, is the youngest instructor of the team. He speaks Spanish and English fluently, and he has loved everything related with nature since he was a kid, therefor he ended up studying Enviromental Science in Madrid. He became a diver when he was 13, and an instructor in 2017. Very experienced and professional under water, you will get amazed diving with him. He is known to have good skills finding small creatures, such as nudibranches or shrimps, so you will never want to miss a dive with him!
