Try Scuba diving
Try scuba diving consists of a ONE DAY course where we will take you for 2 dives and
a simple theory session.
You will receive a nice briefing from one of our instructors, explaining how to use the diving equipment and the basics of scuba diving for you to be comfortable in the water, and then we continue with a dive that is a maximum of 5 metres deep. During this dive, you will learn a few basic skills that will ensure your confidence while diving.
The second dive will take us to a maximum of 12 metres.
The focus of this dive is safely enjoying the beauty of the underwater world.
If you develop a scuba diving addiction as a result of this course and decide to carry on and do the OPEN WATER COURSE with Family Divers Maldives, you WILL NOT PAY for this course.

SSI Open Water Diver Course
This is the entry level diving certification.
The course is divided into three sections:
- Independent academic study (eLearning) to understand the principles of scuba diving. Your instructor will be able to give you more in depth explanations of any areas of difficulty
– Confined Water Dives to learn the basic scuba skills in a safe, shallow environment.
– 4 Open Water Dives to develop your skills further and enjoy the underwater world.
If you have already had the experience of a DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING course, the skills you learned will count towards your full SSI Open Water Diver certification.
We offer diving training provided by SSI, which is an internationally recognised scuba training agency.

On successfully completing your OPEN WATER DIVING course,you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres with a certified buddy, all over the world.
-All equipment included plus certification and Log book.
-Course time 3-4 days.
-Minimum age 10 years.
-No experience required, but you must be able to swim to meet the requirements of the course.
SSI Advanced Adventurer Course
The Advanced Adventurer course consists of independent study, five dives and no exams.
There are two required dives: Underwater Navigation and Deep (to a maximum depth of 30 metres).
The other three dives that make up the course can include: buoyancy, night, drift, fish ID, wreck, boat…
Each of the adventure dives counts as the first dive towards that specialty, so it is a great way to try different diving interests and see where your interests lie.
-Duration of course : 2-3 days
-Requirements: Junior Open Water certification or above.
-Minimum age: 12 years. (10 years Junior adventurer)
-Price includes: all diving equipment required, land transport to dive sites and certification.
