To go reach our scuba diving spots around our island, we will board and take our Dhoni, the best diving boat available in Rasdhoo, whose original name is Thahiyya-1.
The boat was built in 2019 and is made of fiberglass, which gives it great lightness and freedom of movement.
It can accommodate up to 35 passengers and offers maximum comfort, with the particularity that on top of the bottom deck where we will prepare for diving, there is an upper deck where we can sunbathe and relax.
For greater passenger comfort, the boat has a specific area where each one can safely store their valuables and personal items, as well as access to a toilet and a fresh water shower.

We offer WiFi connection in the accommodations, but remember that in Rasdhoo the connection might be a bit slow, so you may be interested in buying a local SIM card at the airport with 4G connection.
To access the Maldives, you will receive a 30-day visa free of charge, and for this, you must present a passport with an expiration date either equal to or greater than six months from the date of travel, as well as the return ticket.
It is important to keep in mind that to get from Malé airport to Rasdhoo and vice versa, we will only have two speedboats each day, which take approximately an hour on the journey.
This is very important to consider in order to adjust the arrival and departure times well to avoid any stressful situations of delay when arriving or departing from the airport.

Regarding the language spoken in the Maldives, the official language is Divehi, also known as Maldivian, but it is not a widely spoken language, as only around 300,000 people speak it. Locals learn other languages, with English and Italian being the most prominent (due to many Italians investing in the Maldives).
As for the time zone, the Maldives is in the GMT+5 time zone, meaning that if we travel during winter, we should add four hours to the Europe time, while if we do it in summer, we add three hours.
It is worth noting that the official currency in the Maldives is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but tourists can pay without any problem in dollars or with credit cards, and euros or dollars can also be exchanged at the airport or local shops. To give you an idea of the currency conversion, 15 rufiyaa is approximately one euro.
The Maldives uses a 230V, 50Hz electrical connection, which means that any appliance we bring from Europe will work, but the connection plugs used are those used in the UK, as the Maldives was a former British colony. (Which also explains why they drive on the left)
